Starting a new habit or lifestyle, sticking to it for a few days, then slacking and finally giving up is a familiar experience for all of us. I remember not deciding on New Year Resolutions for a couple of years because I wasn’t going to stick to them anyway. But the thing about wanting to improve in life is that our belief systems keep changing. So did mine! I still haven’t formed a routine. But I have made progress. The most important and valuable skillset a human needs is kindness. Can you imagine a world where all of us are kind to each other? What else would we need? Money? No. The once who have will give the ones who don’t. Happiness? The ones who are happy will never let others be sad. Good Health? The healthy will help the unhealthy. Then why is kindness so underrated? Why isn’t it taught in schools and universities? I believe kindness needs to be given more focus and here is how I think we can start.
First Sunday of August is Sister’s Day. I have written a lot about my baby sister over the years and they have all been about our childhood and the love we shared. Jayaraj and Bennicks were taken into custody on 19th July in Thoothukkudy and by 23rd early morning they died. The FIR read that they died due to fever.
